Lesley Lawson, better known as “Twiggy,” was a widely popular English model in the mid 1960s. She was named “The Face of 1966” in the British newspaper the Daily Express and voted British Woman of the Year the same year. Her face was on every major fashion magazine of the time; her fame world-wide.
After her modeling career, Twiggy went on to enjoy a successful career on stage and screen. Recently she appeared on “America’s Next Top Model” and penned an autobiography “Twiggy in Black and White” in 1998. She continues to work in the fashion industry, appearing in advertisements in magazines and television.
