A stunning timepiece, this early solid sterling silver Rolex Trench wrist watch with its original movement; hallmarked, flex-lug case and what appears to be its original sunburst metal dial with Roman numerals is, in a word, magnificent. Custom-fitted with a correct two-piece black cordovan strap and matching sterling buckle. Circa 1923.

American watch maker Waltham made trench watches for the great heroes of WWI. This advertisement appeared in the London paper during that period.
